You can be assured of a warm welcome at St. Martin’s Sunday Club.
A team of 6 volunteers, supported by the clergy, over see the planning and organisation of the Sunday morning sessions and activities.
We meet most Sunday mornings during term time except when there is an all age family service in Church. On these occasions we all sit together and quiet toys and colouring sheets are available.
At the start of each Sunday Club session we gather from 9.45am, either in the Church or the Church hall. By 10am we are all together in Church where we are greeted and blessed by the priest and then as a group we move to the Church hall for a child friendly session of worship.
That session of worship begins with a prayer followed by a children’s gospel. We then move on to art /colouring activities, social time together and then finish with a music activity involving singing and percussion instruments. The Sunday school then join the rest of the St. Martin’s family in Church for communion and a final blessing. The children also present the art work of the day to the congregation. These sessions are suitable for all children up to the age of 11 years old ( up to and including Key Stage 2)
We organise a Christmas party, Nativity, a pantomime trip and a Summer outing.
A newsletter is produced 3 times a year to keep everyone up to date with what is going on and it can be found on this website.
